About author

Writing has been a constant companion for as long as I can remember. I recently found some old notebooks from third grade, pages filled with the beginnings of stories I no longer recall. While the details are gone, the spark remains. Words have always felt like a part of me. Like it’s not just something I do, but something I am.

I want to write stories that linger. Horror that unsettles, science fiction that sparks questions and genuine intrigue, fantasy that awakens wonder. Post-apocalyptic worlds that explore resilience. Eventually, I’ll write a memoir to capture the echoes of my life, a cookbook to celebrate the meals that have shaped me, and maybe even a few graphic novels to bring my visions to life.

Growing up in the woods of Montana, far from town, I learned to love solitude. With few distractions, my imagination filled the quiet. I tried other hobbies, but writing held on stronger than most. It was how I made sense of the world, how I gave voice to thoughts I couldn’t say aloud. Even now, I find my truest self in the rhythm of words typed over those spoken.

My dreams fuel many of my stories. They’re vivid, strange, and unforgettable — like fragments of other realities. Years pass and I can still recall them in perfect detail. I don’t always write them down right away; they wait, lingering until their time comes.

My writing process is flexible. I prefer to follow the story where it leads, though I’ll occasionally jot down rough outlines — a one-liner here, a scene idea there. I’ve been shaped by books like Scary Stories to Read in the Dark, which sparked my fascination with horror, and Deltora Quest, which made me long for adventure. And The Chronicles of Amber? That series taught me how layered and boundless a story could be.

What draws me most is the idea that there’s more to the world than we see. Every shadow, every breeze, every unanswered question feels like a story waiting to be told. Writing lets me chase those mysteries, to explore what lies just beyond the edges of perception.

I’m not one to seek the spotlight. Most people know of me, but few really know me — and I’m comfortable that way. Like Batman, I prefer to keep a little distance. My stories are where I reveal the most.

When I’m not writing, I’m immersed in the things I love. Movies that pull me into other worlds. Cooking, where every spice has its own story. Adventures with my son, whose laughter is my favorite sound. I dream of taking him around the world someday, exploring new places and learning new languages together.

I once had a goal of writing 30 books by 30. Life had other plans. But now, I have 38 stories waiting inside me, and I’m determined to complete 10 of them by 40. It’s not about meeting a deadline — it’s about honoring the stories that have chosen me.

More than anything, I hope my words inspire. I want to encourage people to grow their own food, to find resilience in the earth. To lend a hand when someone is struggling. And to believe that even when resources are scarce, determination can build something extraordinary. Some stories are meant to be read. Others are meant to be lived. And the best stories? They do both. I believe we can do that together.
